課程概述 |
This course introduces aesthetics in its interplay with perception, language, mind, and culture. I will do so in a comparative way, focusing on East and West. We will read the book by the French sinologist Francois Jullien, The Impossible Nude. Chinese Art and Western Aesthetics. The University of Chicago Press 2007. Translated from French De l’essence ou du nu. Editions du Seuil 2000. There is also a Chinese translation available. |
